We really strive to ensure that we do quality work. We always love and appreciate when we hear positive feedback from our amazing customers.

  • Working in insurance, I need a good quality restoration company to refer my clients to. I have always and will always refer my clients to SERVPRO because of their efficiency, quality, and professionalism! I wouldn’t give a reference that I wouldn’t use myself and I feel confident referring clients to SERVPRO since I am a lifelong customer!
  • Nobody wants to find a leak in their basement. It's one of the worst scenarios any homeowner thinks about. After a call to our insurance company, they sent out SERVPRO. They were here in a hurry and began the cleanup process. After getting it cleaned up, they assessed everything and prepared for the restoration work. We were assured that everything would be restored to the way it was before -- I was skeptical. Over a couple of weeks, different contractors showed up to replace the insulation, drywall, trim and paint. Each one was friendly and happy -- plus they did great work. At the end, they came and cleaned the carpet and even re-assembled the furniture that was in the room. I'd say SERVPRO has gone above and beyond in all aspects. They guarantee their work and the craftsmanship and care has been outstanding throughout this ordeal.
  • They actually were very good about giving me time to fix the problem source, then did an excellent job with repairs on my water damaged ceiling and the paint job and ceiling light replacement work was extremely good.  Would definitely recommend them.  Lehi Utah area.
  • These guys are the best. I have taken a long time to search around and find someone I could really trust and I finally found SERVPRO. Their whole team was so helpful and made it the best of our situation. I’ll definitely be calling them again if I ever need to. :)

We are here to help from the smallest to largest losses, home or business. We are family owned and our goal is to make it less stressful on you.

Do you know the different categories of water damage?

3/4/2022 (Permalink)

Baby sweeping up water off the floor. If you don't know the correct water category your water damage could be it is best to call a professional so it gets done correctly.

Category 1 water loss?

A category 1 water loss is when the water originates from a sanitary water source and does not pose a substantial risk if ingested or inhaled. Some examples of a category 1 water loss: Broken water supply lines. Sink or tub overflows with no contaminants.

Category 2 water loss?

It contains harmful micro-organisms or nutrients for micro-organisms that will help greywater become black water if not attended to too quickly. This type of water is dangerous and only a professional should clean it up.

Category 3 water loss?

Category 3 water loss involves water that is grossly contaminated and can contain pathogenic, toxigenic, or other harmful agents. Such water may carry silt, organic matter, pesticides, heavy metals, regulated materials, or toxic organic substances.

What comes next:

Water damage restoration is often prefaced by a loss assessment and evaluation of affected materials. The damaged area is inspected with water sensing equipment such as probes and other infrared tools in order to determine the source of the damage and the possible extent of areas affected. Emergency mitigation services are the first order of business. Controlling the source of water, removal of non-salvageable materials, water extraction and pre-cleaning of impacted materials are all part of the mitigation process. Restoration services would then be rendered to the property in order to dry the structure, stabilize building materials, sanitize any affected or cross-contaminated areas, and deodorize all affected areas and materials. After the labor is completed, water damage equipment including air movers, air scrubbers, dehumidifiers, wood floor drying systems, and sub-floor drying equipment is left in the residence. The goal of the drying process is to stabilize the moisture content of impacted materials below 15%, the generally accepted threshold for microbial amplification. Industry standards state that drying vendors should return at regular time intervals, preferably every twenty-four hours, to monitor the equipment, temperature, humidity, and moisture content of the affected walls and contents.

Why SERVPRO… Did you know we have Ozone machines? Do you know what an Ozone machine does?

Ozone is best known for the vital role it plays in our atmosphere. It is a highly reactive gas that is pale blue and has a distinct odor. Ozone is made up of 3 oxygens. The triple oxygen is highly unstable. This makes ozone one of the most powerful oxidizers. When you have a fire or biohazard that you think the smell will never come out, we put this ozone machine in and let it do its job. This machine is heavy duty and that is why only our trained technicians should ever enter a space undergoing ozone treatment. After treatment is terminated, the reaming ozone is aired out of the room and quickly decomposed back into regular oxygen gas, leaving no toxic byproducts.

Disaster recovery specialists

10/13/2021 (Permalink)

lightening with servpro logo SERVPRO is always here to help.

There is a cleaning and restoration business located in Utah County area. You see their bright green trucks at businesses and residences around town. Their advertisements talk about disaster recovery. They seem to be good at drying buildings and always have the equipment needed. They will show up at commercial and residential locations after:

  • Fires
  • Floods
  • storms
  • Mold outbreaks

SERVPRO Has a Secret Weapon

That small company is one of many similar businesses around the country. At last count, there were more than 1,700 of them. Every one of them works locally, just like the one near you. Their corporate office activates the Disaster Recovery Team. The team turns those local experts into a regional task force. The recovery team is the communications center. It coordinates the activities of the task force and temporary labor brought in to assist with thedamage.

Not all emergencies require a big response. They also have smaller response teams positioned. Those teams provide the same support as the corporate team, but on a smaller scale. These storm teams also play a role in larger regional disasters. They provide an intermediate level of control and operate as mobile command centers.

You now understand what makes that small cleaning andrestorationbusiness so special. They really are disaster recovery specialists. When fire, water, or weather damages your home, you now know who to call. Those local cleaning and restoration professionals are ready to handle your problem. When they finish with the damage, your home will feel and look “Like it never even happened."

Flood damage from a storm in your Lehi home?

3/18/2021 (Permalink)

Storms can cause a multitude of damage and that is what SERVPRO is trained for.

When your home in Lehi has been damaged from flooding from severe storms, you need the help of a professional restoration company to get your property to its preloss state again. A flooded basement or other damage that exists after a flood or storm can lead to severe damage to your property.

You need immediate Flood damage mitigation for your Lehi home to protect the structure and your possessions inside. Without fast and efficient water removal, additional damage can occur. That is why at SERVPRO we do not waste any time getting to you when you reach out to us for help.

After we have extracted any standing water, we need to dry your structure by removing moisture from the air. SERVPRO techs use two different systems for drying. An open drying system exchanges moist air from inside your structure with the drier outside air. Opening windows and using fans or air movers helps to exchange the air and ventilate your home.

For the best drying conditions, the outside air should have a high temperature and low relative humidity. The difference between the specific humidity of the inside air and outside air is also essential. Before we use an open system, we take measurements to figure out specific humidity for both outside and inside air.

A closed drying system closes off the area affected from the outside air and from areas in your home that are unaffected. We use dehumidification equipment to dehumidify the air inside the home. For a closed system to work, we have to control the indoor environment using dehumidifiers and air movers. It is easier to dry areas that are smaller, so we create a drying chamber by hanging plastic sheeting around affected areas or closing windows and doors. The relative humidity in this drying chamber shouldn’t go higher than 40% RH for the proper drying of porous materials. Air condition can also be used to help dehumidify. If we set up a drying chamber, we can dry items more thoroughly and more quickly.

Learn why SERVPRO ozones!

12/16/2020 (Permalink)

Learn more about Ozoneing on our website https://www.SERVPROofnorthutahcounty.com/

Are you one of the 1.3 million people each year that has had a home fire?  What do you do now?  How will you ever get rid of that smell?  OZONING!  What is ozoning you ask and Why does SERVPRO use it.

Normal oxygen (O2) is converted to O3, which is commonly called ozone.  It reverts back to O2 in about an hour if the O3 is unused.  This leaves the air fresh and clean because the source of the order has been permanently removed.  And there are no artificial odors so the space becomes free of odors, as nature intended.

Outdoors, nature eliminates odors and microorganisms using UV light and O3.  Indoors, most places receive very little UV light or O3 to help eliminate the odors.  An ozone machine creates O3, or ozone, in a process that utilizes an electrical current.  Ozone sanitizes the air by breaking down odors and microorganisms at their source.

Nature creates O3 as a natural cleaning during thunderstorms, and also from the sunlight striking the earth’s atmosphere.  We have all taken a walk after a thunderstorm and experienced that fresh clean, fresh smell in the air.  That’s O3, or ozone, at work.

SERVPRO of North Utah County also offers a service at our facility where we can ozone specific items like clothing, furniture, or anything that has smoke damage and get it smelling better than new.

Every water damage event is a little different and requires a unique solution, but the general process stays the same. The steps listed below illustrate our process for the “typical” water damage emergency.

  1.  Emergency Contact

When you call us, our consultant will guide you through several questions that will help us respond to your water emergency more quickly and efficiently. This initial contact is an important part of a fast, effective restoration.

  1. Inspection and Damage Assessment

We determine the scope of your water damage at this stage is crucial to developing a plan of action. We inspect and test the damaged area to determine the extent of damage and how far the moisture has traveled to ensure proper and complete restoration.

  1. Water Removal / Water Extraction

The water removal process begins almost immediately and removes the majority of the water. We use powerful pumps and vacuum units to quickly remove hundreds or thousands of gallons from your property which helps prevent secondary water damage and mold growth.

  1. Drying and Dehumidification

We use specialized equipment to remove the remaining water which is harder to access. Our Professionals will use room measurements, temperature, and relative humidity to determine the optimal number of air movers and dehumidifiers needed to dry your home or business.

  1. Cleaning and Sanitizing

Water damage also affects your belongings, like furniture, clothing, and personal items. We can clean restorable items using a number of specialized cleaning techniques. We also disinfect with antimicrobial treatments and remove odors using industrial air scrubbers and fogging equipment.

  1. Restoration

The last step is restoring your home or business back to its pre-water damage condition. The restoration step can be relatively minor, such as replacing a few drywall panels or could include major reconstruction, such as rebuilding entire rooms of a home or business.

Disaster Response Is Teamwork!

11/7/2019 (Permalink)

SERVPRO is the best!!!

There is a cleaning and restoration business located in Provo area.

It coordinates the activities of the task force and temporary labor brought in to assist with the damage.

Not all emergencies require a big response. They also have smaller response teams positioned. Those teams provide the same support as the corporate team, but on a smaller scale. These storm teams also play a role in larger regional disasters. They provide an intermediate level of control and operate as mobile command centers.

You now understand what makes that small cleaning and restoration business so special. They really are disaster recovery specialists. When fire damage, water damage or bad weather affect your home, you now know who to call. Those local cleaning and restoration professionals are ready to handle your problem. When they finish with the damage, your home will feel and look “Like it never even happened."
